About RueCare
Mission and Vision
You are motivated, capable, and used to following through. You hold responsibilities, meet expectations, and keep moving even when things feel heavy. Yet certain patterns continue to repeat. Stress lingers. Anxiety takes up space. Decisions feel harder than they should.
Many people I work with sense that something deeper is shaping these experiences. They want clarity around why their mind reacts the way it does and how to create change that actually holds.
I am Dr. Rue (Ruhama) Hazout, a licensed psychologist and the founder of RueCare PLLC. I work with high-functioning adults who place high standards on themselves and want a more steady, intentional way of living.
My role is to bring structure, perspective, and evidence-based care to the work we do together. Therapy here is collaborative, thoughtful, and focused on progress you can feel.
At RueCare, therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). We focus on how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, and how long-standing patterns influence stress, anxiety, trauma, relationships, and performance.
Sessions are practical and goal-oriented. We look at the full context of your life, including mental health, physical well-being, relationships, and personal goals. The tools we use are designed to support change outside the session.
Without intentional support, many high-achieving adults continue to operate in high gear while feeling tense, restless, or uncertain about direction. Therapy creates space to slow this process down and choose responses that align with what matters to you.
Through our work, you develop greater clarity, flexibility, and confidence in how you handle stress and challenges. You gain skills that support decision-making, emotional steadiness, and follow-through without relying on constant pressure.
This work is about meaningful change that fits your life.
About Me
I am Dr. Ruhama Hazout, a licensed psychologist and the founder of RueCare PLLC. I work with people who take on a lot of responsibility and expect a lot from themselves. Many of my clients are high-achievers, caregivers, or professionals who spend much of their time managing demands and supporting others. Over time, anxiety, stress, or unresolved experiences begin to interfere with how they think, feel, and live.
I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, and related conditions. Therapy at RueCare is a place to pause, reflect, and focus on yourself with intention. We work together to understand what keeps certain patterns in place and how to respond differently so life feels more manageable and steady.
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed advanced training through APA-accredited internships and residencies. I also work at a VA Medical Center and serve as an adjunct faculty member, roles that have shaped a practical, evidence-based approach to therapy. My work focuses on the whole person, not only symptoms, and supports change that fits into real life.
Outside of the therapy room, I stay grounded through running, cycling, and yoga. These practices reinforce the value of consistency, balance, and patience, which also guide how I work with clients.
My goal is to help you reduce overthinking, feel more at ease, and reconnect with what matters to you. Therapy here is structured, collaborative, and focused on progress you can build on.
